This policy covers the Nishan Sahib Sewa and Nanaksar Path Android applications. Neither app requires an account. Both provide Gurbani and spiritual content, use online services for selected features, and use Google AdMob to display advertisements.
Who we are and which apps are covered
This policy is provided by the Nishan Sahib Sewadar Team. It applies to the following Android applications:
Nishan Sahib Sewa
Package name: nishansahibsewa.com. Provides offline Gurbani text and access to online audio, photographs, maps, videos and community contact information.
Nanaksar Path
Package name: com.companyname.nanaksarpath. Provides offline Gurbani prayer text and streams complete audio recitations selected by the user.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to nishansahibsewa@gmail.com.
Information processed when you use the app
We do not require registration and the apps do not ask you to create a user profile. Depending on the app and feature you use, the following information may be processed:
- On-device information: Offline prayer text, reading actions, search terms and ordinary app settings are processed on your device. We do not receive this information unless it is included in a message you choose to send us.
- Advertising and technical data: Both apps use Google Mobile Ads for banner and app-open advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may process the Android advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions, and diagnostic data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and apply your advertising choices.
- Consent choices: Google's consent platform may store or process your privacy and advertising selections so that those choices can be respected.
- Online-content requests: When you stream audio or, in Nishan Sahib Sewa, load online photographs, maps, videos or website content, the relevant server or service provider may receive standard request data such as IP address, device or browser information, the requested resource, and date and time.
- Contact information you choose to send: Both apps can open your email application when you choose to contact us. Nishan Sahib Sewa may prepare an email containing the name, phone number, email address and message you enter. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send the email.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the content and features you request, stream media, display and measure advertising, remember privacy choices, maintain security, prevent abuse and advertising fraud, respond to messages, and improve app and service reliability.
Device permissions
Both apps use internet and network-state access to stream requested media and load advertisements. Advertising components may use the Android advertising ID and Android advertising services. The apps do not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files or precise location.
Third-party services
The apps may use or open services provided by other organisations. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies:
- Google Privacy Policy, including Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform in both apps, and YouTube and Google Maps when opened from Nishan Sahib Sewa
- Google AdMob policies
- Instagram Privacy Policy, when Instagram is opened from Nishan Sahib Sewa
- Our website and media-hosting providers, when either app requests audio, photographs or other online content
External services may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers or similar technologies when their content is loaded. We do not control the privacy practices of those independent services.
Sharing and sale of personal information
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by the service providers described above as necessary to operate features you request, deliver advertising, measure performance and protect against fraud. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the public or our legal rights.
Retention
The apps do not maintain user accounts or an operator-controlled profile database. Messages that you send by email may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry, maintain appropriate records and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete a message previously sent directly to us, subject to records we must retain for legal purposes. Third-party providers retain information according to their own policies.
Your choices
- Use each app's privacy and ad-choice control when it is available in your region.
- Reset or delete the advertising ID in Android's privacy settings.
- Do not send the optional contact email, or omit information you do not wish to share.
- Use device and account controls offered by Google and other external services.
- Email us to ask about, correct or delete information that you previously sent directly to the Nishan Sahib Sewadar Team.
Children's privacy
The apps provide spiritual and family content, and Nishan Sahib Sewa includes information about Children's Kirtan. The apps do not require children to create accounts or provide personal information. Children should not send an optional contact email without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us without appropriate permission, contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections for supported online content. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your country, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when either app, its services or applicable requirements change, or when another application is expressly added to the list of covered apps above. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
